Mark – Earley

(Sep 11, 1950 to Apr 18, 2010)

When his family had a need he always said yes. He acted as chauffeur for his niece and all of her friends and was the videographer for her special events from school plays to dance recitals. He was Lauren’s godfather, confirmation sponsor and active in her raising. He never stopped being a big brother to his sister, Chris. Since he was a child, he made his entire family laugh until their sides hurt.rnrnMark was a movie buff, especially sci-fi and anything involving superheroes. He was partial to Star Trek (Kirk not Picard), and 2001: a Space Odyssey. A walking encyclopedia, if you needed to know something about geography, history or wars he was the source. He was on a first name basis with everyone at the library. A natural storyteller, he was friendly with neighbors as he worked outside at his Delran home. He loved cutting edge technology and often thought about magnets and the possibilities of perpetual motion. He was stationed in Germany when he served our nation in the army.rnrn rnrnHe is survived by his sister, Mildred “Chris” Venables and his niece, Lauren. Predeceased by his parents, Peter Earley and Mildred (nee O’Brien) and his sister, Kathleen Earley.rnrn .rnrnCome celebrate 59 great years Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside where there will be a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter Cemetery.rn
