Florence A. Miller

(Sep 23, 1917 to Nov 13, 2010)

Florence knew that a dog wags its tale with its heart, and that’s why her home was never complete without one. It was reflective of her loving nature. Through her soft heart she saw the world in the most positive light: she would rather watch Lawrence Welk than a drama or sitcom, even if boys will be boys, her two sons were always perfect, and birthdays were not a marker of age but rather a good excuse for her to remember friends and family. The Phillies were her favorite; she knew every player, seldom missed a game and was even there for the last one played at Connie Mac Stadium. While living in Delran, her husband Harry and his brother owned Miller Bros. Moving and Storage in Riverside. Only fitting that once he retired the two of them took such pleasure traveling all over the U.S. in their camper. rnAs a young woman, Florence was working in Philadelphia when she kept noticing a gentleman named Harry in the next building. Casual smiles in passing eventually blossomed into wedding bells. Before his passing in 1999, their lives were blessed by their two sons; Harry (Linda) of Delanco, and Bob (Christine) of Colorado, and again by their 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.rnFlorence’s 93 wonderful years (Sept. 23, 1917-Nov. 13, 2010) were celebrated privately, and she will be interred at Beverly National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Riverview Estates 303 Bank Ave. Riverton, NJ 08077. Arrangements by the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside.rn
